Food intake guideline for reducing high blood pressure

Food that we consume has great impact on our health. It can contribute to development of many health issues, and high blood pressure is not an exception. All presented below foods have one thing in common; they all help to reduce high blood pressure. Try to use on daily bases at least few of the following foods:

  • Pineapple reduces the blood pressure. Pineapple contains an enzyme (called bromelain) that reduces the clotting of blood, and enhances the circulation.
  • Guavas help reduce high blood pressure.
  • Celery is useful for high blood pressure. Also, celery is able to reduce total cholesterol and LDL levels.
  • Beet lowers blood pressure. Beet fortifies blood vessels, and reduces blood cholesterol levels. It is beneficial against internal blood clots.
  • Asparagus helps to maintain normal blood pressure, and normal heart function. It lowers blood cholesterol.

  • Black currants are helpful in lowering high blood pressure.
  • Blueberries normalize blood pressure. Also, blueberries are useful for cholesterol reduction.
  • Chili peppers lower blood pressure, and help to dissolve blood clots. Also, chili peppers help lower cholesterol.
  • Capsicum or cayenne pepper lowers blood pressure. It improves the ratio of HDL (good cholesterol) and LDL (bad cholesterol). Capsicum lowers triglyceride levels and is useful for arteriosclerosis.
  • Garlic lowers blood pressure. Also, garlic has the ability to reduce the total blood cholesterol level.

  • Red wine in small doses helps to lower blood pressure and cope with stress.
