Food intake guideline for healthy sex life (men)

Many people have lack of libido or diminished sex drive, which prevent them to have a healthy sex life. A general lack of libido or sex drive is perhaps the most common sign of decline in sexual health, and it should be considered as an early warning sign. Beneath presented food list that is helpful in increasing libido (sex drive) in men:

  • Onions increase sex drive and good for sexual debility. Also, onions improve blood circulation. This is another important area for sound sex.
  • Garlic has aphrodisiac, anti-parasitic, anti-spasmodic, disinfectant, and stimulant properties. To enhance aphrodisiac properties of garlic you can take garlic milk. To prepare garlic milk mix together 1 cup of milk, 1/4 cup of water and 1 clove garlic (finely chopped). Boil this gently until 1 cup of liquid remains, and then drink this at bedtime. Besides aphrodisiac qualities it promotes sound sleep, and also helps arthritis treatment.
  • Bananas are aphrodisiac. Aphrodisiac is a substance (it could be food, herb, juice, oil, scent or preparation) that tends to increase or arose sexual desire and heightens sexual excitement.
  • Almonds have aphrodisiac properties. They are indicated for reproductive organs. Also they increase semen.

Take 1 eggplant, cut into slices, covers both sides of each slice with butter and minced chives. Then brown the slices in a frying pan, and serve with a spicy curry sauce. Curry is an Indian spice mixture consisting of many spices. Among them are garlic, cumin, turmeric, coriander, ginger, cinnamon, and cardamom. Many of these spices have aphrodisiac properties.
  • Asparagus increases sex drive. It is good for reproductive system, and useful for infertility.
  • Chick pea/garbanzo has aphrodisiac properties. Also, they strengthening, and toning reproductive tissue. Chick peas as humus are easier to digest. Canned chick pea/garbanzo is less preferable in comparison with cooked ones.
  • Fava bean (Vicia faba) has an age-old reputation (in ancient Roman) as an aphrodisiac. Fava bean contain compound (L-dopa) that provides a nice boost to sex drive and erection.
  • Kidney, navy and pinto beans have aphrodisiac properties.
  • Cloves have aphrodisiac properties. It promotes sexual activity, and useful against impotency. Cloves increase circulation of the blood, which is another contributing factor for better sex. To further enhance the aphrodisiac properties of cloves you can make an infusion. Take 2 teaspoons of clove buds, pour 3 cups of boiling water on it, thoroughly mix and cover the liquid with a tight fitting lid. Make sure that steam does not escape. You can use a French Press coffee maker or Coffee press. Let it stay covered for twenty minutes, strain, and drink. Take ¾ of cup 3 times daily. This will increase sex drive and sexual power.
  • Arabians use nutmeg as an aphrodisiac. Also, when taken with milk nutmeg alleviate sexual debility. For that put a pinch of nutmeg in a cup of hot milk.
  • Saffron has aphrodisiac properties, and it can help increase the sperm count. This herb has sex-hormone-like effects on the body, and has stimulating properties on the erogenous zones. Taking it with milk enhance its aphrodisiac qualities. Drink 1 cup of hot milk with a pinch of saffron. This is especially good for sexual debility.
  • Eggs have aphrodisiac and tonic properties. They are beneficial for sexual debility and fertility. Eggs are high in vitamins B6 and B5, which helps balance hormone levels and fight stress. These two things are crucial to a healthy libido.
  • Oysters are aphrodisiacs. Actually oysters are one of the classic sexy foods. Oysters are high in zinc, and this mineral is most associated with sex because it boosts levels of testosterone production. High content of zinc raises sperm production as well.
  • Artichokes (especially Jerusalem) have libido-boosting properties. To enjoy these properties prepare artichoke the following way. Place an artichoke in simmering water, cover with a lid to steam, and while the vegetable cooks, melt about 2 oz of butter. Then mix melted butter with 2 tablespoons of Dijon mustard, and when the artichoke is finished, dip the leaves in the dressing and enjoy. Don’t forget that French believe the most powerful part of the vegetable is the soft artichoke heart.
  • Buckwheat increases sexual abilities.
  • Wheat bran can increase the sexual potency. For that boil wheat bran (at least 2 – 3 tablespoons) with pea until this mixture becomes concentrated, and eat it every day for 1 month. Also, it can help you to prevent all kind of sexual disease. For that consume every day with salads and dinners 20 – 30 grams of raw wheat bran.
  • Grape (white sweat) is useful for sexual impotency. Also, it increases sexual energy and beneficial against sexual debility.
  • Melon’s seeds increase sexual potency.
  • Yellow ripe mango is acts as an energizer and an aphrodisiac. To enhance aphrodisiac properties of mango you can take it the following way: Drink 1 cup of fresh squeezed ripe mango juice followed (an hour or so later) by 1/2 cup of milk with a pinch of cardamom, pinch of nutmeg and 1 teaspoon of ghee.   • Raspberries improve sexual vitality.
  • The following remedy from the dates is a good aphrodisiac. Soak few dates in the milk, add there a pinch of cinnamon powder, mix it and drink. This remedy will increase the sex drive, sexual potency, and semen. Dates strengthen the reproductive system and useful against sexual debility.
  • Truffles are famous for their seductive power.
  • Chocolate acts like aphrodisiac. Eating high-cocoa chocolate releases the same endorphins in the brain that produce feeling of euphoria and happiness. Also, cocoa causes your body to release beta phenylethylamine, a sexual stimulant and mood enhancer.
  • Arginine or L-arginine helps to overcome erectile dysfunction. Food sources of this amino acid are: brown rice, wheat germ, sesame seeds, sunflower seeds, nuts, popcorn, oatmeal, raisins, and whole wheat bread. Animal sources include pork, turkey, and chicken. Watermelon is rich source of citrullina (another amino acid), from which L-arginine can be synthesized.
  • Glutamine (amino acid) is helpful against impotency. Food sources of this amino acid are: raw parsley, spinach; Dietary sources of glutamine include beef, chicken, fish, eggs, milk, yogurt, ricotta cheese, cottage cheese, dairy products, cabbage, beets, beans, spinach, and parsley. Small amounts of free L-glutamine are also found in vegetable juices and fermented foods, such as miso.
  • Phenylalanine (an essential amino acid) increases sexual interest. Food sources of this amino acid are: soy products, avocados, bananas, cheese, nonfat dried milk, cottage cheese, bread stuffing, peanuts, almonds, lima beans, sesame, and pumpkin seeds.
  • Zinc is important for production of the male sex hormone (testosterone). Also, it is essential for growth and normal sexual development in children. Food sources of this mineral are: eggs, chicken, pumpkin seeds, dry roasted cashew, Swiss cheese, dark meat of turkey, liver, shellfish, seafood, seeds, nuts, green leafy vegetables, whole grains, legumes, seafood (especially raw oysters), wheat germ, brewer’s yeast, ground mustard, dulse, kelp, mushrooms, pecans, sardines, sunflower seeds and soybeans.
  • Vitamin H promotes male sex glands. Food sources of this vitamin are: beef liver, almonds, bananas, brown rice, bulgur wheat, butter, calf liver, cashew nuts, cheese, chicken, clams, green peas, egg yolk, soy flour, brewer’s yeast, milk, kidney, lentils, mushrooms, oat bran, oatmeal, peanut butter, peanut, salmon, tuna, walnuts, mackerel, unpolished rice, saltwater fish, and whole grains.
  • Vitamin B-3 is helpful sex hormone synthesis (especially for people over 55 years old). Food sources of this vitamin are: beef liver, Brewer’s yeast, chicken (white meat), dried beans/peas, halibut, peanut butter, peanuts, pork, potatoes, salmon, soybeans, swordfish, tuna, turkey, chicken, broccoli, cheese, sesame seeds, carrots, corn flour, dandelion greens, dates, eggs, wheat germ, tomatoes, whole wheat products.
