What is Arteriosclerosis?

Atherosclerosis is a disease in which plaque builds up inside of your arteries. Atherosclerosis, or hardening of arteries, is a type of arteriosclerosis. Arteriosclerosis is a generic term for a number of blood vessel diseases, from which atherosclerosis is the most important.
